The auditions will take place on Sunday, September 10 and Monday, September 11 from 6:30  – 8:30pm at the Sharon Stark Auditorium in West Hills at LTO.

Gordy Handeland is the director and Kristi Westergaard the technical director.

Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake.

Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages.

LTO is looking to cast:

Bob Wallace – (late 20s to mid 30s)  A superb singer with crooning style who moves very well baritone

Phil Davis – (late 20s to mid 30s) Strong jazz and tap dancing needed - A song-and-dance comic performer. Bari-tenor.

Betty Haynes – (mid to late 20s) A female singer of quiet beauty and charm with rich chest mix sound and a soprano extension. Must move well.

Judy Haynes – (early 20s) Strong jazz and tap dancing needed- A major song-and-dance performer. Chest mix.

General Henry Waverly – (late 50s to mid 60s) With the exception of one line, a non-singing role.

Martha Watson – (late 40s to mid 60s) A winning, appealing character-comedienne with a Clarion belt voice.

Susan Waverly – (9-12 years old to play nine years old) She must have an excellent belt voice, and able to move well.

Ralph sheldrake – (mid to late 30s) A Baritone.

Rita and Rhoda – (mid 20s to early 30s) Two star chorus girls

Ezekiel Foster – (mid 40s to late 50s)

Mike – (mid 20s to late 30s)

 

Ensemble – (Ages 18+)  12 to 18 roles

We encourage diversity in casting. Actors of all races, ages, and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. The first rehearsal will be on September 18.  Most scheduled rehearsals will be Monday through Thursday evenings. Some weekends are possible closer to the show’s opening.
